EPCC’s 2026 HPC Summer School drew to a close on Friday. Klara Kurucova, one of this year’s participants, gives an overview of her experience:

For the past two weeks I had the privilege of being part of EPCC’s High Performance Computing Summer School. During the course we explored the foundations of high-performance computing through hands-on programming with OpenMP for both CPUs and GPUs, MPI, and machine learning, gaining practical experience in developing parallel applications.
