ARCHER2 Image and Video Competition 2025 Results


Thank you to everyone who submitted images and videos to this year’s competition. The outstanding range of entries once again made judging a most enjoyable experience with so many great demonstrations of the important work being done using ARCHER2.

Judging is done by an independent panel, and all entries are anonymised until after the results are declared.

We are pleased to announce the winners as follows:

Winning Early Career Researcher entry : Mr Pengxu Chen, School of Engineering, The University of Edinburgh, with their image “Ice is born in vibrating nanopores”.

Winning Image: Miss Hibah Saddal, Department of Aerospace Engineering, University of Birmingham, with their image “Formation of a Reverse Kármán Vortex Street in the Wake of a Morphing Wing”.

Winning Video and Overall Winner: Dr Sebastien Lemaire, EPCC, University of Edinburgh, with their video “Electromagnetic waves propagation underground”.
